Many people will be familiar with the PRO-moting Value Based Care in Emergency Departments or PROV-ED Project, with the team having led many successful ‘pitchfest’ initiatives for the past few years.

The PROV-ED Project is about empowering frontline clinicians to make meaningful contributions to improving the care provided to patients in Queensland Health emergency settings. The unique model identifies innovative, grassroots, patient-centric initiatives from individual facilities that are suitable for further development and wider rollout.

In this presentation, Sarah and Tanya will discuss how recent rural and remote-focussed initiatives have made a difference, by helping to ensure rural and remote clinicians have the resources, skills and support they need to deliver equitable patient care regardless of location. This includes promoting working to scope of practice and developing confidence in high acuity, less frequent clinical situations.
